Romances, engagements and weddings soon became a favourite topic in ¡HOLA! The magazine’s first exclusive was a feature full of interesting details about the honeymoon of Spanish aristocrat Fabiola of Mora and Aragón and Belgium’s King Baudouin

Created in 1948, the Hollywood fashion section was a highlight of the magazine, where readers enjoyed keeping up to date with what the most trend-setting stars were wearing.Since the pages had to be approved by the censor before publication, creative editing was essential.“Almost every day the team had to raise a neckline, lower a hem or convert a bikini into a swimsuit,” recalled Mercedes Junco Calderón, founder of ¡HOLA!
